Collection: Shibuya In & Out Tray

Inspired by the passengers and vehicles that drift in and out of Tokyo’s iconic Shibuya Crossing – a cast concrete tray for temporary storage of everyday items.

A poetic storage solution and object for the home.

The shallow concave surface of this tray allows for temporary storage of everyday items like keys, jewellery, coins and other knick knacks.

It’s cast in fine-concrete by Qizhi in Taiwan (our friends who cast concrete moon pins for us too! ^^), then hand-painted and assembled by us in the UK.

The bottom surface is lined in cork to protect your surfaces and make it look even more dreamy.

Notes on finish

The concrete may contain bubbles. These should not be seen as defects, but as marks of an original, handmade design. Lot’s of care is taken to make them as perfect as they can be!

Background

When I first visited Japan, Shibuya crossing was the very first place I went. Even after living in Tokyo for 6 years, it never lost it's charm. There's no other single architectural element of Tokyo that represents it so well, or inspires me so much. It is glorious.
