Collection: Laser-cut camera
Camera-shaped gift box, constructed entirely from laser etched and laser cut paperboard of various thicknesses, folded and glued together.
Designed and produced as a one-off for special presentation of one Cloud Keyholder to popular design blog notcot.com, in collaboration with Tokyo’s ‘Fab Cafe’.
Overview
Fab Cafe is a cafe based in Tokyo, that houses and rents it’s own laser cutter.
Details of the cardboard box it was delivered in, as well as the structure that suspends the camera within, are also all laser cut.
In November 2012, the piece was successfully featured on the blog as an ‘unboxing’ event. Jean Aw, the blogs creator, described the project to have “taken her breath away”.
