First things first, the dshott online shop sells only items designed by Duncan Shotton. The shop is managed by the studio and is the only way to buy ‘direct from the designer’. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Do you ship internationally?

No, you can pay with card as a 'PayPal guest'

How much is shipping?

Shipping is calculated at checkout, before payment, once you have entered your country and shipping method.

Cost of shipping depends on delivery country and what/how many items are in your cart.

Can I buy in my own currency?

Yes. Items are sold British pounds, conversion from other currencies will happen automatically at checkout.



Has my order been received?

If your payment has gone through successfully, we've got your order.
By default, PayPal will email you a PayPal receipt once successful payment has been made.

I used Registered/Courier Delivery, how can I track my order?

Once your order is sent, we’ll send you your tracking link by email. If you can’t find it, please check your junk/spam folder!

• Please note : Standard Delivery option does not include tracking.

How long will my item take to be delivered?

Items are sent from the UK, usually the next day, and no longer than 5 working days after we receive your order.

Delivery days are typically as follows after packages have been sent :
• Standard Delivery : 2-3 working days
• 1st Class, Signed For : next working day
• DPD Courier : next working day

Delivery days are typically as follows after packages have been sent :
• Europe : 3-5 working days
• Rest of the world : 5-7 working days

Delivery time can be affected due to delays in customs, local delivery and busy seasons like Christmas.

Terms & Conditions


Payment is managed securely by PayPal. After clicking 'Checkout' on the cart page, you will be re-directed to a PayPal payment page. Pay with your PayPal account or by credit or debit card as a PayPal guest.
Before the item is shipped, you will receive an email confirming your order. Please check your spam folders.


You can order from anywhere on the planet. International shipping is OK. (see ‘customs’ below)
Postage and packaging is calculated at the checkout and before payment confirmation.
Items are sent from England, UK.

INTERNATIONALThree types of shipping are available :
• Standard delivery (untracked and un-insured) : Your items will be sent using the basic Japan Post service. No responsibility can be taken for items posted with standard delivery that are subsequently lost in transit (although this hardly ever happens! ^_^).
• Registered delivery (tracked) : Your items will be sent using the Japan Post ‘registered’ service, which includes basic tracking and insurance. This is recommended for customers who want added peace-of-mind.
• DPD Courier delivery (tracked and faster) : Your items will be sent by the Express Mail Service (EMS).

All items are packed safely and securely and shipped within five working days of receipt of payment. (but normally the next day!).
Please ensure somebody trustworthy is present at the delivery address to take receipt and sign for all items purchased if necessary.

Sometimes we introduce new products as 'pre-orders' before they are ready to send.
These items can still be ordered like any other item but carry certain conditions that apply to your whole order (delayed shipping). There is always a notice on the at the top of the specific product page as well as the shop & cart pages notifying customers about the status of pre-order items. These notices contain the expected shipping dates which we will kept up-to-date in the unlikely event of unforeseen delays.


Depending on the law in the country of delivery, products purchased may be subject to tax or import duty.
The shop is not responsible for paying any such tax or import duty and is unable to define or pre-collect any such taxes or duties. If you are unsure or have questions about tax/import duty, please contact the appropriate local customs office before placing an order, as this is out of the shop's control.
Payment of duties & taxes must be made prior to, or on receipt of goods. Delayed response may incur further charges, so it's advised you pay as soon as possible.


Because payment is managed securely via PayPal when buying through dshott.co.uk, we never see your card details. Furthermore, the details we use to process your order (name, address, email, etc...) are never shared with anyone else. Your email will be added to our email newsletter list, which is only sent very occasionally, and hopefully you will enjoy. You can click the unsubscribe link (in the footer of every email) if it's not your cup of tea, and we'll remove you from the list forever. (Please do not mark the mail as spam, just unsubscribe, thank you).

Handmade items

Some of the items in the shop may be handmade, handpainted or handfinished by the studio. As is the nature of all items of this type, some may have minor imperfections. These should not be seen as defects, but as marks of an original, handmade design. Lot's of care is taken to make them as perfect as they can be!


Duncan Shotton / Duncan Shotton Design Studio (herein "DS"), cannot be held responsible for defects arising from misuse or mishandling of Goods. Any fault or damage to the Goods supplied should be reported to DS immediately, failure to do so may affect the warranty.

The Customer will indemnify and keep indemnified DS against all claims, proceedings, costs and expenses in connection with any third party claim based upon any allegation that the safety of the Goods (or materials or components comprised within the Goods or any Goods in which the Goods are incorporated) is not such as persons are generally entitled to expect, save where such deficiency in their safety was present at the time the Goods were dispatched to the Customer or its agents by DS or its agents.


A lot of care, love and hard work goes into designing, (sometimes making), wrapping and shipping all items, to make sure they get to you in perfect condition. In the unlikely case your items arrive damaged, please get in touch via the contact form. Once returned, damaged items can get refunded or exchanged within seven days.
