Collection: Plate Plate

Overview

The printed plate is slightly smaller than the actual plate, creating a strange size-illusion occurs which makes food look larger (and cuter!) than it is.

This project was my first collaboration with EntreX Inc. of Japan.

They come in two colours (matt black/gloss white) and three sizes (S/M/L).

The plates are made in the city of Tajimi, Gifu prefecture, Japan, which has a long history in the ceramics industry, producing pottery since the 16th Century.

We visited Tajimi to meet the makers and document their craftsmanship;
